NEW SERIES!!
MOMMY AND BABY YOGA 6 WEEK CLASS SERIES
Saturdays, Series Starts: March 27, April 3, 10, 24, May 1,
15 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Arielle Eckhaus Welch
$80 -
minimum 6 students required to run series; discounts do not
apply; must be purchased as full series; payment required at
time of registration. Why Mom and Baby
Yoga?
This is an effective start to balancing
hormonal changes that are occurring now that you have
transitioned from Mom-To-Be To Mom.
This is a gentle approach to help your
body recover and heal from childbirth while bonding with
your baby.
Added bonuses are the opportunity to bond
and share with other new moms and forge long lasting
friendships for both and your baby.
Share your challenges and successes and learn that
you are not alone!
In these classes, the teacher will place
special attention on rebuilding core strength of the back,
abdomen, and pelvic floor, as well as relieving tension in
the neck, and shoulders that often result from lifting,
carrying and nursing. No previous yoga experience is
required
What Do The
Babies Do?
The babies will either be held in your
arms, rest on your belly or sleep/rest peacefully on a
blanket at your side during gentle, modified yoga poses.
The babies will also enjoy a gentle
massage session that helps them stay flexible while
relieving common discomforts like gas and constipation.
What Is The
Class Like?
The structure and class theme will depend
largely on the areas that need the most attention from
week-to-week.
All students are encouraged to move, breathe, and work at
their own pace as classes are appropriate for all ability
levels.
If your baby happens to sleep through
class this is an excellent, and perhaps rare, opportunity to
pay attention to yourself!
On the other hand if your baby needs to be changed,
fed, or held, you are strongly encouraged to meet their
needs in the studio.
This class is designed to help you accept, in a
natural and peaceful way, your baby’s demands. All moms are
encouraged to stay in the room and meet your baby’s needs –
crying is welcome!
When Can I
Start?
We are not medical professionals but
typically it is recommended to wait 4 – 6 weeks after giving
birth to help establish your relationship while getting get
breast and other feeding schedules off to a solid start.
C-Section births should wait longer.
The age range for babies is newborn to crawling which
is around 7-10 months for most babies. You can join a class
at anytime as movements are simple and easy to learn.
Please consult your physician prior to joining this program
to get their blessing.

Self Awakening Yoga Studio is excited and honored to host
teacher training this fall. If you have considered becoming a yoga
teacher, or have been teaching and would like to be certified, this
training could be for you.
We are conveniently located on Route 28 in Salem NH and have a
large, inviting, beautiful yoga studio.
Please visit our Gallery Photos on the About tab for pictures
of our studio and past events.
THE RASAMAYA™ 200hr YOGA TEACHER TRAINING This Yoga Alliance
Approved Teacher Training was designed as an in depth journey into
Rasamaya™ vinyasa teaching. Rasamaya™ as a vinyasa practice believes
in giving each teacher the freedom to be creative and authentic in
their instruction. As such, a basic framework is provided which
includes a set series for warm up, intention setting, philosophy,
class structure, and closing, but the actual heart of each class
draws from the knowledge and strength of each individual teacher.
Many many flows, pranayama, philosophy and meditation techniques
will be provided to give each instructor an incredibly strong base
from which to create authentic movement. The course has a
self-design component which provides students 32 elective hours
which includes presentations from some of New England's top workshop
presenters (see required elective
workshops at rasamaya.com). As practice is a key
component to learning, a membership is included to all host studios.
All studios also provide students with opportunities for practice
teaching through community classes which are run free or donation
based to the public.
In addition to the above many other
topics will be covered, including: • Yogic History and
Philosophy • Teaching Techniques and Methodologies
• Principles and Alignments of Classic Yoga Asanas
• The Chakra System: Symbolism and Psychology •
The Art of Hands-on Adjustments • Sequencing and
Designing Well Rounded Classes • Anatomy and Kinesiology
• Business and Marketing in Yoga • Contemplation
