What's the first thing I should do when I get to the studio?
You should check in. If you are new to the studio, please register
at the front desk 15- 20 minutes before class begins. This is the
time to ask any questions and let your teacher know of any injuries
or health issues you may have.
Can I join a class late?
Please try to be be on time. If you absolutely must come in late or
depart early, please do so quietly to avoid disturbing other
students. If you are late, please wait until centering has ended
before entering studio.
What do I do with my shoes, cell phone and other belongings
that I bring to the studio?
Please no shoes on Bamboo floors. You may leave your shoes in the
entryway across from the seating area. Please take all
personal belongings or valuables into the studio. PLEASE TURN
OFF YOUR CELL PHONE.
Is it ok to wear perfume / cologne?
Please refrain from wearing strong scents: Many people are sensitive
or allergic to various scents and fragrances.
What should I wear to class and should I bring my own mat?
Please wear comfortable, light, non-restrictive clothes and bare
feet. You may want to bring a towel to HOT classes. We
do loan mats, but we recommended that you have your own
mat. Yoga clothing, towels, mats and water are all available to
purchase in our Boutique.
What do I do with my mat at the end of the class?
If you borrowed a mat, please wipe with antiseptic wipes provided by
the studio, roll it back up properly, and return where to mat shelf. Please return all props that you may have
used in the class to their appropriate place at the end of the
class.
Can eat or drink during a class?
Please refrain from eating or chewing gum in class. Drink plenty of
water before and after class. Since Yoga practice works all of the
internal organs, glands and muscles, it is best to practice yoga on
an empty stomach (two to three hours after a large meal or one hour
after a small meal or snack).
*Please check with your doctor before starting any new exercise
program.
*Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore and have fun. |
